Yup, D has been having headaches again, and some behavior challenges, so his neurologist wanted to rule out seizures. So off we went to be checked into Children’s Medical Center for an overnight visit. This one was kind of rough, as they gave him a medicine to help the itching on his head, and that med made him go a little nuts. He was on edge, threw some fits, took forever to fall asleep. And of course once I got him to sleep, the nurse came in to do vitals. Yay. Anyway, no seizures were detected, at least for those two days, but they are at least ruled out.
Gettin hooked up, he loves to look at himself…lol This always ooges me out a bit, they use some heavy duty glue to keep these things on, I don’t blame him a bit for going a bit crazy.
Yay for quiet toys!

We headed to our friend’s house for Easter and the kids had a blast with an easter egg hunt! D was handsome as usual.

For Valentine’s Day itself (keeping this separate from the other post of pics), I ‘let’ D take me on a date. We get a giftcard (usually to Chili’s, his fave place) and he gets to ‘pay’. He loves it!!!

But it was a good evening, and of course, every good date should end with a (banana, no red dye) slurpee.

Today we picked up one of D’s buddies for a playdate! I kept it simple, we hit up Burger King and stayed to play for over 3 hours. The boys were awesome and had a great time!!

So the last two weeks, D has had some behavior challenges at school. Acting up, just not being himself. He’s been doing so great at school that this was really odd for him. A few times he has complained of a headache but not in the same spot as his seizure ones. We could not figure out what was going on until today. Look what popped through this gum after almost a year of no front teeth. It all makes sense now.

Today we hit up Trader’s Village with some friends. Aside from Mommy’s allergies goin crazy, we had a good time! Afterward, we joined them for dinner, some yummy mexican food! D’s friend told him that this was their first “d-a-t-e”, they were so cute!!

For New Years, it has become tradition to go visit my dad and stepmom to celebrate Christmas with them. This year was no exception. We went to an OKC Thunder game on New Years Eve and got lots of good time with family.

We had a very joyous Christmas! Got to see lots of friends and family, D ‘s behavior was top notch (aside from a few minor incidents, where he was overwhelmed). We went to a cookie exchange where I had to make 9 DOZEN cookies! I ended up making cinnamon roll cookies, they were SO GOOD, and quite easy to make. We also went to Christmas Eve service which was so meaningful.
Yeah, that’s 9 dozen cinnamon roll cookies…yummy!
